Join us for the next TORCH Arts Event on Thursday, August 23rd, at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and help us create our own ARTropolis in the Twin Cities.
Our special guest speaker, Peter Rothstein, Artistic Director of Theatre Latté Da, will be addressing how the arts help individuals blossom, bring communities together, and how this helps cities thrive. Together with group activities led by the TORCH Arts Partners, you will learn and discuss what a thriving arts community can do to enrich the community, and the role that businesses can play in helping them in their mission. You will be given an opportunity to share your experiences and join in the conversation.
Peter Rothstein is one of the Twin Cities' most accomplished directors, having worked in theatre, musical theatre, opera, and new work development. He's the Founding Artistic Director of Theatre Latté Da, and he has directed several productions for nationally renowned theatres like The Guthrie Theatre, The Children's Theatre Company, and Minnesota Opera. He's been recognized for his contributions to local theatre by the Star Tribune, Lavender Magazine, and City Pages. He's been awarded grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Theatre Communications Group, the Minnesota State Arts Board, and The McKnight Foundation. He also serves on the board of directors for the National Alliance for Musical Theatre.
