The 25th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum is happening on March 8-10 in Minneapolis! As the only
conference of its kind sponsored by the Norwegian Nobel Institute, the Forum is
a unique, multi-day event that brings professionals, academics, and students
together to celebrate the work of Nobel Peace Prize winners and the
achievements of other leading peacemakers in human rights, business/economics,
health & science, and the arts. This year’s program is the biggest and most
dynamic in the Forum’s long history, with a list
of visionary speakers that includes Nobel Peace Prize laureates Muhammad Yunus (“Father of
Microcredit”) and Tawakkol Karman (Yemeni
journalist/activist); global health experts Paul Farmer and Malcolm
Potts; and hip hop artists Brother
Ali and Omar Offendum.
The 2013 Forum is comprised of four different events, each of which has a separate ticket:
March 8: Business Day
March 9: Science & Health Day
March 9: Hip Hop and Peace with Brother Ali & Omar Offendum
March 10: Global Day
March 9: Science & Health Day
March 9: Hip Hop and Peace with Brother Ali & Omar Offendum
March 10: Global Day
All programming takes place on the campuses of Augsburg
College and the University of Minnesota West Bank, and each day is ticketed
separately ($10 for students, $40 for the general public).
