Margaret Levin, State Director, Sierra Club North Star Chapter
With her background, and current role as the State Director of the local Sierra Club chapter, Margaret is uniquely qualified to talk about preparing yourself for a job in an environmental organization - both from the perspective of an employer and as an activist.
Margaret is State Director of the North Star Chapter. Previously she was an organizer on the Sierra Communities campaign and electoral efforts for the Sierra Club, enjoying the opportunity to work with amazing volunteer leaders across the Twin Cities area. Originally from St. Louis, Margaret has a BA in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Missouri and is working on a degree in Nonprofit Administration. Before joining the Sierra Club in 2004 she worked as a grassroots organizer with the Minnesota Public Interest Research Group and the Minnesota Senior Federation.
