Accepting Applications: Environmental Hackathon FREE Workshop & Competition

The latest change-making hack? A hackathon. Join Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota for their first ever Environmental Hackathon! Over the course of two-and-a-half days, participants will form teams to brainstorm workable solutions to big environmental challenges using technology, design, planning, art, and policy skills. Apply today to help hack the way to environmental solutions!

Want to save the planet? Here's your chance!
On April 13 & 15, 2013, a select group of University of Minnesota students will gather at the Institute on the Environment for our first-ever Environmental Hackathon. After warming up their problem-solving skills, participants will form teams and brainstorm workable solutions to big environmental challenges using technology, design, planning, art and policy. Food and beverages will be provided; just add creativity and enthusiasm. Participants receive coaching in problem solving, recognition and prizes, and an opportunity to save the planet. Best of all, it's free! Signups will be capped at 50 to keep energy high and results amazing.

10:00 Design process workshop

12:30 Problem/solution brainstorming
1:30   Solution building super-session
2:30   Presentations and feedback on problems/solutions
April 15: 4 – 6 p.m.
4:00   Solutions showcase
