Join former Minnesota State Representative, Kate Knuth, and other invited panelists to discuss Sheryl Sandberg's highly-anticipated new book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, which examines women's progress in achieving leadership roles and offers solutions that can empower women to achieve their full potential.
Part panel and part modified-book club, the conversation will explore the personal and political implications of women's leadership today. Whether you've read the book or not, you're welcome to sit at the table and share your individual perspective on this urgent and universal question!

It starts with the governor's recommendations, and then the legislature forms its own budget to levy taxes and appropriate money to state entities and organizations doing the important work of making Minnesota a great place to live. Building the mental rolodex with cascading conversations!

The Cascading Conversations Tour was designed to help build trust between two people through one-on-one conversations. I have been fortunate enough to have Cascading Conversations with all kinds of people - friends, colleagues, complete strangers, acquaintances, etc., and needless to say: no two conversations are the same. Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GAPSA), Minnesota Rising Network PartnerMinnesota Rising has received an invitation from the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GAPSA) at the University of Minnesota to lunch with their current members and connect them to the community. We're looking for 5-10 people in the Minnesota Rising network to participate by speaking with students over the lunch hour and sharing a bit about their background and current community engagement efforts!
