You're Invited | Freed Speech: Dialogues on Civil Discourse

Do you consider how you say something just as important as what you actually say? If so, check out the upcoming Freed Speech: Dialogues on Civil Discourse event focused on listening with civility. Join a diverse panel of speakers to explore how we can break free from divisive conversation and move toward a more substantive and constructive dialogue about issues that matter to us and our communities!

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.


Our second Freed Speech on the topic of civility seeks to change the substance of today's conversations so we can share important thinking through constructive discourse, rather than shrill and divisive banter.

The lineup includes:
  • Kevin Beacham, Marketing Specialist for Rhymesayers Entertainment 
  • Dr. Kurt Illig, Director of Neuroscience at the University of St. Thomas 
  • Dr. Simone Ahuja, co-author of Jugaad Innovation

About the Citizens League
For 60 years, the Citizens League has created common ground across parties and ideologies to solve some of the biggest challenges facing Minnesota.
