Join the Minneapolis/St. Paul Professional Chapter of MBA Women International at our fall event: Winning at the Game of Office Politics.
Presented by Jo Miller, CEO of Women's Leadership Coaching, this informative and interactive seminar will have everyone talking!
Is it possible to navigate office politics without becoming a political animal?
As careers author Erin Burt has noted, “…avoiding (office) politics altogether can be deadly for your career. Every workplace has an intricate system of power, and you can -- and should -- work it ethically to your best advantage.”
In this workshop, discover the unwritten “rules of the game” at work, and how to navigate them with savvy. Learn new ways to interpret the dynamics of power in your organization. Create a powerful workplace network—and access hidden resources and opportunities.

You're Invited: Ed Jam Twin Cities
Now that we've gotten past the excitement of back-to-school clothes and supplies, Ed Jam Twin Cities invites you to spend a weekend using design thinking to address the academic achievement gap in Minnesota. Their 48-hour agenda will allow teams of students, parents, educators, administrators, government representatives and community partners to work with designers and developers to take ideas from conception through working prototype. Learn more below and register today to take on your biggest homework assignment yet!
48 Hours to Bridge the Gap
October 17-19, 2013
Minnesota has the nation’s worst on-time graduation rates for Latino and American Indian students and is among the worst for black and Asian students. What can you do to close this achievement gap? Participate in EdJam and you can be part of the solution now.
EdJam will be a gathering of people who want to take immediate action to improve K-12 public education by addressing the gap in new and creative ways. Like a Hackathon or Service Jam, EdJam will be a fun and enriching 48-hour event where we will work in teams of teachers, non-profit leaders, school board members, parents, students designers, and developers to turn ideas into action. By employing design thinking to develop working prototypes, we will take meaningful steps to create equal access to education for all students.
From October 17-19, like minds will come together to jam on how the achievement gap can be bridged here in the Twin Cities and beyond. Be a part of envisioning and creating what is possible in the future of education for all students.
This isn’t about talking; it’s about DOING!
