You're Invited: Twin Cities Women's Choir Open Rehearsals

The Twin Cities Women's Choir invites you to join them in open rehearsals this week and next! Not a songstress or a woman? You can still take part in An International Affair: Wine and Food from Around the World and through fine dining and fundraising, support beautiful music and local merrymaking!

The Twin Cities Women's Choir will be having open rehearsals for the fall season on September 4 and September 11. Rehearsals are open to new members. The open rehearsals are a time for you to try us out to see how you like it.  We will help determine what part you should sing if you don't already know, and it is done in a very easy, non-auditioned way. After those rehearsals, we hope you will decide to stay with us.

The choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7-9 pm at Calvary Lutheran Church, which is located at 3901 Chicago Avenue in south Minneapolis.

The choir will be performing 3 concerts this year: Illuminations in December; Love is… with Monroe Crossing in February, and the Divas and Desserts Gala in May, along with several other community performances. Since we are a non-profit organization, we rely on contributions to help pay our bills. A portion of those contributions come from choir members, but no member is ever turned away due to lack of funds. The suggested contribution is $50 per month, but many of our members pay more and others pay less. We also do several fundraisers throughout the year to support the Choir: an October Yard Sale, a Raffle, a November Wine Tasting, and a Silent Auction, which we expect all members to participate in. Our main focus is to have fun singing music under the direction of a wonderful leader.

We hope to see you in September. If you want to join us come to the church between 6:30 and 6:45. There is a parking lot in the back of the building and the entrance to our rehearsal space is off the lot.
