Network Partner Notes 2013: Minnesota Young Professionals Environmental Group (MYPEG)

The Minnesota Rising 2013 Un/Conference: Cultivating Capacity for Collective Leadership will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 10:00AM – 4:30PM at DLR Group offices in Minneapolis, MN. Hosted by and for emerging leaders, the Un/Conference will engage emerging leaders across Minnesota in an energizing day of innovative learning and dialogue, skill-building, and network-building with their peers!

Minnesota Rising is pleased to collaborate with Network Partners, emerging leader group organizations, to help cross-promote our parallel efforts to provide leadership development and community-building. In our Network Partner Notes, we highlight our 2013 Un/Conference Network Partners and their events in their own words! 

Join us for our monthly happy hour where awesome people gather around great food and drinks to discuss interesting environmental issues and opportunities. This month we are going to be at Common Roots Cafe, talking politics. This month's happy hour will include a discussion on the upcoming Minneapolis City Election. Of course you know that we're getting a new mayor, new city council members, and new park board commissioners - but have you thought about the candidates' environmental backgrounds and how these positions will affect our city's environmental policies and initiatives? Have insight to share? Want to be more informed? Great! We'd love to see you there, and hope to hear a variety of opinions. There will be drink specials, delicious food, and great conversation with fellow environmentally minded people - what more could you ask for? Come on down to meet your peers and network with other environmentally-minded young professionals!
