When POC/I have stories to share, there is no central, mainstream place for them to do this. A collaborative effort is in the works to enhance community building and affect change. omg came out of a passion for bringing people of all backgrounds together and celebrate our lives through storytelling. Stories from the East Side is a special project by the East Side Funders Group. The goal of this promotion is to increase regional awareness about the East Side’s uniqueness and to recognize the people who contribute to its vibrancy and sense of community. [Read more.]       2019 Apprentice Program The goal of the North Spark apprentice program is to share the systems built over the years to produce this beloved event, and to foster an exchange of skills and community knowledge in the neighborhoods where the festival is taking place. For this year's Apprentice Positions, Northern Lights.mn is looking for candidates with cultural connections and community involvement in the Rondo neighborhood of St. Paul and the American Indian Cultural Corridor in Minneapolis. [Read more.] Seeking WFMN Innovator Applicants Young women of color, American Indian young women, young women from Greater Minnesota, LGBTQ+ youth, and young women with disabilities between the ages 16-24, apply to become a WFMN Innovator today. Through the Young Women’s Initiative of Minnesota WFMN Innovators program, the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota provides one-time microgrants of $2,500 directly to young women (ages 16-24) to support their leadership and to drive their ideas and solutions that advance key recommendations in the Young Women’s Initiative of Minnesota (YWI MN) Blueprint for Action. [Read more.] 2019-2020 Resident Artist Research Project The Bell Museum is seeking four resident artists for the 2019-2020 cycle of their Resident Artist Research Project (RARP).  With the opening of a new facility in July 2018 that includes a state-of-the-art digital planetarium and a five-acre outdoor learning landscape, its role is expanding to become the gateway to the sciences at the University of Minnesota. The museum-based artist residency program invites dynamic candidates from all disciplines to investigate artistic practice as a lens for science discovery in four, 12-15 week residencies taking place over the span of 18 months.
