Challenging Islamaphobia Conference
Join the largest regional conference on challenging Islamophobia in the nation. The conference will bring leading national experts of Islamophobia, as well as community leaders in Minnesota addressing how to challenge Islamophobia. Last year's conference drew over 250 attendees from school administrators, government employees, corporate diversity and inclusion leaders, non-profit leaders and elected officials, students, and community activists. The mission of CAIR-Minnesota is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding. Apply for NEW Leadership™ Development Institute 2019
NEW Leadership™ Northern Lights has held an annual NEW Leadership™ Development Institute since 2004. These intensive five-day residential institutes provide leadership training, inspiration and support for women in the upper Midwest. Particular emphasis is placed on supporting women from communities that are underrepresented in public leadership. Participants gain valuable leadership experience by attending workshops on: running for office, public speaking, fundraising and grant writing, public policy advocacy, working with the traditional and new media, and building community partnerships.
