[#mnrising Dispatch] June 2019
This month’s solstice marked the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere, with Ramadan, Juneteenth and Pride celebrations recognizing how far we’ve come and yet to go in terms of ensuring equity, safety, and beloved community for all Minnesotans. Summertime is the local season for festivals, parades, (and road construction, to be sure) and coming out together to share common space and experiences: take advantage of the time and intersections to cultivate and steward the social connections that create better health for each of us as individuals and for all of us together as a vibrant and interconnected community. Wishing you and yours warmth and a deep sense of belonging to this land of 10,000 lakes and to one another!
