[#mnrising Dispatch] January 2023Happy Gregorian Calendar New Year and Happy Lunar New Year of the Water Rabbit! The rabbit more than any other of the Chinese zodiac animals symbolizes luck, and has been described as waiting for an opportune moment and then leaping into action. Recognizing the disconnection, trauma, and grief our communities are experiencing with police-involved and community shootings locally and nationwide, may we see this as opportune moment to take action. In this month's Dispatch, find opportunities to connect with local community, uplift Black and Native voices and language, and grieve and laugh with Asian artists. Where possible, with support, find a way to turn your anguish to action. |
